Presenting
In this post, I will be writing about what makes a good presenter. Speaking to an audience may be difficult for some people, which is okay. Being able to talk to a large group with confidence is an important skill. In class, we learned the five qualities of a good presenter . A good presenter has:
1. Confidence- The presenter brings power to their presentation.
2. Organization- An organized presentation is easy for the audience to understand.
3. Authentic- The presenter is comfortable to be them self.
4. Generosity- The presenter makes connections with the audience.
5. Engaging- The presentation is able to entertain the audience.
Presenters need to be themselves and try to connect with the audience. If a presenter is not confident, the audience will show less interest in the presentation. In addition, here are five tips for a good presentation: make the audience laugh, use powerful visuals, keep your message simple, let your passion show, and use your PowerPoint slides effectively. Using these tips will make a presentation entertaining and meaningful to your audience. When presenting, I am able to maintain eye contact, stay organized, be confident. In order to be confident, I have to be an expert on my presentation material. This way, I can rely on my knowledge during the presentation. Also, an organized presentation will allow the audience to gain a better understanding about my topic. Although, when presenting I sometimes stutter over big words. I can avoid this problem by simplifying my presentation so that it is easier for me to have a smooth presentation. I feel confident that when I present to my peers I will benefit from using the tips and qualities we learned in class.
